Semaglutide - The Details
Semaglutide is an effective and popular injectable weight loss drug. It’s known to produce substantial weight loss results without invasive procedures.
- Semaglutide is a Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonist that historically has been used in helping patients with type 2 diabetes control their blood sugar. Recently, the FDA added an indication, allowing it to be used to help patients lose weight. By treating GLP-1s, a hormone in the GI tract, specifically a peptide, Semaglutide reduces your appetite, helps you feel fuller longer, and stimulates weight loss.
- Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are administered by subcutaneous injection once weekly. Dosages will be gradually increased, usually every month. Oral medications may be prescribed on a short-term basis when deemed appropriate by Ms. Wolff.
Our expert team at Southeast Sculpting + Rejuvenation will help you every step of the way, starting with the initial consultation to see if you are a semaglutide candidate. Contact us today at 803-396-2727 to schedule your consultation.
